General questions
What is Mingle Denver?
Mingle Denver is a Denver-based social community with 11,200+ members. We host weekly events across the city in three categories: Mingle New Friends events for people who want to expand their social circle, Singles Events including speed dating and mixers, and Professional Club events for professionals. Our events happen at real Denver bars, restaurants, and venues — no awkward conference rooms, no name badges, no pitch decks.
Do I need to be a member to attend?
No membership required. Anyone can attend our events — just RSVP or purchase a ticket and show up. We do encourage you to join our community list so you're first to hear about new events and early-bird ticket releases.
Where do your events take place?
Our events rotate across Denver's best neighborhoods — RiNo, LoDo, Cherry Creek, Capitol Hill, Highlands, Downtown, and beyond. Each event listing includes the full venue name and address. We also occasionally host events in Lakewood, Aurora, and Englewood.
How do I find out about upcoming events?
The best ways to stay in the loop: join our email and SMS list, follow us on Instagram @mingledenver, or check our event calendar. We post new events weekly and sell out regularly on popular nights, so early RSVPs are recommended.
Are your events age-restricted?
Most of our events are 21+ since they take place at licensed bars and restaurants. We do host some all-ages events at coffee shops and activity venues. Each event listing clearly states the age requirement. Our speed dating events are often age-range specific (e.g. 30s and 40s, 40+) to ensure a compatible crowd.
Speed dating
What actually happens at speed dating?
You arrive, grab a drink, and meet your host. The event is divided into rounds — typically 5 to 7 minutes each. One group rotates while the other stays seated, so everyone meets everyone. After each round you mark your match card. At the end of the night, mutual matches are shared. It's more relaxed than it sounds, and most people leave having had at least a handful of genuinely good conversations.
What should I wear?
Smart casual is the sweet spot — you want to feel like yourself, not overdressed or underdressed. Think a nice outfit you'd wear to a good bar with friends. The venues are upscale but relaxed. First impressions matter at speed dating, so put a little thought into it, but don't stress.
What if I don't match with anyone?
Matches are great, but they're not the only measure of a good night. Many of our regulars come back because the events are simply fun — good conversation, a great venue, and a room full of interesting people. Not every night produces a match, and that's okay. The more events you attend, the more comfortable and successful you'll get.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely — and most people do. Coming alone is actually an advantage at speed dating because you're fully present and not splitting your attention. Our hosts make sure everyone feels welcome from the moment they walk in. You will not be the only person there by yourself.
How are matches shared?
At most events you'll use our digital match cards: scan the QR code, then give each date a thumbs up or down (or "just friends") on your phone. Your answers are private. When you and someone both say yes, it's a match, and you'll see the contact details they chose to share right on your phone. We also email you your matches after the event. Only mutual matches are revealed — if you marked someone as a yes but they didn't mark you, they won't be notified. Privacy is protected both ways.
What do my matches see?
Only your first name and last initial during the game. After you match, they see just what you chose to share: your phone number, email and/or a social media handle. You pick these when you join the game, and you can change them during the event. No one ever sees how you rated them.
What is Schedule a Date?
A simple way to plan a date with someone you met at a Mingle event. Sign in at mingledenver.com/dating.html with a code we email you, see your speed dating matches, choose who can ask you out, and send or accept date requests. You can accept, decline or suggest a different time or place. Your email is only shared when you both agree to a date.
Matchmaking
What is Mingle Denver matchmaking?
A personal, one-on-one matchmaking service for Denver singles who want a real relationship. Your matchmaker, Saura, gets to know you on a consultation call, hand-picks introductions for you, and checks in after every date. Right now we match women seeking men and men seeking women, ages 21 and up. Learn more and apply.
How does matchmaking work?
Apply online (about 10 minutes, with a few photos), book a consultation call, and if we're a fit you start a matchmaking package. When Saura finds someone for you, you see a short profile and say yes or no. If you both say yes, we introduce you by email. After your date, a quick feedback form helps make the next match even better.
How much does matchmaking cost?
Every client starts with a paid consultation, which is credited toward your package if you join. Current consultation and package prices are listed on our matchmaking page.
What is the free matchmaking pool?
If you're single but not ready to be a client, you can join our matchmaking pool for free. You'll only hear from us when one of our clients looks like a great fit for you, and you can say yes or no. Nothing is shared without your yes.
Is my matchmaking information private?
Yes. Potential matches only see your first name, age and a short profile with up to 2 photos, and only when your matchmaker thinks you're a strong fit. Your phone number and email are shared only when you and your match both say yes. Your photos are stored privately and never used in marketing. See our privacy policy for details.
Tickets and pricing
How much do events cost?
It varies by event type. Many of our Mingle New Friends events (Taco Tuesdays, Game Nights, Happy Hours) are free to attend — you just pay for your own food and drinks. Speed dating and VIP events typically range from $25 to $45. Free events don't require a ticket but we recommend RSVPing so we can plan for numbers.
Where do I buy tickets?
Most events sell tickets right here on mingledenver.com, and many are also on Eventbrite, Meetup or Partiful. Each event listing on our site and calendar shows where to get tickets. Some events sell out, so we recommend not waiting until the last minute for popular nights like speed dating.
What is your refund policy?
Unless otherwise stated, refunds are sent automatically if an event is rescheduled or canceled. If your plans change, you can request a refund up to 48 hours before the event: contact us through the form on our website, or message the host if you booked on Meetup or Eventbrite. Within 48 hours of the event, refunds aren't available, but you can request a credit toward a future event.
Do you have a loyalty program?
Yes: your 5th event is on us. After every 4 Mingle events you buy or RSVP to on mingledenver.com, we email you a code for one free ticket to a future event. The code works once, only with your email, and covers one ticket (add-ons not included). Tickets from Eventbrite, Meetup or Partiful don't count toward it.
Will you text me?
Only if you say it's OK. When you add a mobile number at checkout, you can check "OK to text" to hear from us by text about that event and future Mingle events. Just reply STOP or ask us to stop anytime.
How do I leave a review?
After an event, we'll email you a quick "How was it?" with stars to tap. If you allow it, we may show your review on our website with your first name and last initial.
What is the difference between General Admission and VIP?
GA tickets give you access to the event. VIP tickets typically include priority seating or entry, a smaller more curated crowd, and occasionally a welcome drink. VIP events are specifically designed for people who want a more intentional, elevated experience. Both options are listed clearly on each event page.
Mingle New Friends events
I'm new to Denver — will I fit in?
You'll fit in perfectly. A significant portion of our community moved to Denver in the last few years and came to our events for exactly the same reason. Being new to the city is one of the most common things people have in common at our events, which makes it an easy conversation starter.
Is it weird to come alone?
Not at all. Coming alone is normal at our events — it's actually one of the reasons people come, because it's the easiest way to meet new people without the social buffer of an existing friend group. Our hosts make introductions and keep things moving so no one is left standing by themselves.
Are Mingle New Friends events for dating too?
Mingle New Friends events are friendship-focused with no dating agenda. That said, you can't control chemistry, and connections of all kinds happen naturally. If you're specifically looking for dating events, check out our Mingle Singles page.
Hosting and partnerships
Can I host a Mingle Denver event at my venue?
Yes — we're always looking for great Denver venues to partner with. We bring the guests, you provide the space and hospitality. It's a strong arrangement for both sides. Reach out through our contact page and mention venue partnership.
How can my business become a sponsor?
We offer a range of sponsorship options — from single event sponsorships to annual presenting partnerships. Visit our Become a Sponsor page to learn more and submit an inquiry.
Can I volunteer or help host events?
Yes, we'd love your help! At our larger events, volunteers help check guests in and greet people as they arrive. See open volunteer shifts and sign up at mingledenver.com/volunteer. If no shifts are open right now, you can join our volunteer list and we'll email you when new shifts open.
Still have a question?
We're happy to help. Reach out and we'll get back to you within one business day.
